Back in 2007 a group of friends hug out at an SL club and developed bonds there. Then the club closed. They wanted to keep the party going and so they opened their own club. That club is Dance Island and you can dance there today. All but one of these founders are gone. That one founder is Deirdre Masala, who still owns the place along with Isabella Trance. Deirdre was 3 months in SL when Dance Island was founded so she really has grown up with the club.
Isabella Trance was three days old when she landed on Dance Island, and the first thing she thought was, "I want to work here." So she tried everything she could to get hired before the minimum required time, and she did. First as a host, then as a DJ, then as a DJ manager, and finally, in 2020, she became the owner alongside Deidre.
"It's hard work running a club, but it's rewarding and fun."
There is a live DJ playing mostly Electronic Dance Music (EDM) from 6 AM SLT to 2 PM SLT. Singles, couples and group dances are available on the large dance floor. The landing point is not close to the club so there will be a bit of a walk to the dance floor. Just follow the arrows that point you to the club. As stated earlier, if you are there between 6 AM and 2 PM it may be crowded and you will have a live DJ. If you arrive at other times the radio will be providing the music and you may have the place to yourselves.
Many that you find there have been dancing here for years. There is a sense of community here but not an exclusive or snobby one. Just a friendly hello will get a friendly hello back and a wonderful start to a nice conversation.
Dance Island is one of SL’s longest‑running clubs (active since 2007), and it’s built for high‑energy fun, social vibes, and shared experiences. A couple may mix dancing, exploring, and little moments of connection. Singles mingle here as well so you may find someone with which to do the same.
Near the club, there are various areas, including shops and an art gallery that provides space for artists to exhibit their work.

BlueFox Butterfly Ballroom Is a place playing radio music that has more than a ballroom. Dances are given by multi colored stands that can be found many places through out the region, The land mark drops you off at the door of the main ballroom. Enter to a garden foyer with a fountain at its center. You can dance here or go right to main ballroom or go left to an out door area and get your dance on.
Outside the entrance is a teleporter that will take you to various places. There are some shops, a dance area in a balloon up in the clouds and a place where you can rez a jet ski or a sail boat that you can use on the lake. There are other places to enjoy together; is worth exploring to find them.

The Boneyard Rock Club is back. Tara Nightfire once had this club up and running but circumstances forced her to close it. Now it is risen from the grave and is currently hiring DJ's and Hosts.
Still evolving, but the bones of the place are a rock club playing your requests when DJs are doing their thing, When there is no DJ the music is from Rock On The Rise Radio, a station specializing in new rock acts and new songs. Live DJs are usually present in the evenings all days except on Sundays.
Everyone is allowed in the club, regardless of what avi you have (Furry, Robot, Demon, Animal KID, etc)
The club area is reminiscent of a crumbling brick building sitting on the dock of the St. John's River in Jacksonville, FL, With the roof long gone, the club is open to the sky with areas to sit and relax, shop, play games and collect from Crystal Craze.
There is an Events Area which will offer Concerts, Premier Wrestling, and will also be available for special occasion Rentals.
If you take the teleporter to the beach below, you will enjoy several tropical islands with seating areas where couples may cuddle. The water has access to the Gulf of Moles. You may rez water craft and go exploring if you wish. You may also wet a line using Xundra's Fishing.

Tucked away behind a water fall at The Isle of Mists is the Waterfall Ballroom. From the landing point and through the waterfall is a hidden gem of a dance area. Gilded in gold and surround by nature is a small and intimate marble floored ball room that is well worth finding. The Intan dance anywhere systems offer a wide range of couples dances. Look for the multi colored sphere or the lady spinning a mirror ball.
If you are so inclined while you dance you may admire the jewelery made by Misty. Of interest to couples is the Soul Mates line that react when your love interest is near.
